Hi friend,
Can you believe it? The primary election is just two weeks away, but there’s still time to vote early if you prefer skipping the lines at the polls! Thankfully, voting in Pennsylvania has been, and continues to be, safe, secure, and lawful — no matter which method you use.
If you’re voting by mail this year, it only takes a few minutes to request your mail-in ballot online, and you can track your ballot every step of the way. Your county will keep you updated as it’s processed, printed, mailed to you, and then received after you fill it out. The deadline to sign up is May 10, and you can also become a ‘permanent’ mail-in voter to make it easier to vote each year >> [[link removed]]
Here’s how to fill out your mail-in ballot correctly:
• Read the enclosed instructions carefully and mark your ballot with a blue or black pen. Be sure to complete the front and back of each page.
• Put your ballot in the smaller secrecy envelope and seal it. This is the envelope that only says “Official Election Ballot.” Don’t make any marks on this envelope.
• Put the smaller secrecy envelope in the larger ballot-return envelope. This is the envelope with space for your address on the front.
• Complete the entire “Voter’s Declaration” on the larger ballot-return envelope. Make sure to sign, date, and seal this envelope.
Once you complete your ballot, there are a number of ways you can return it:
• By mail. You should do this no later than Friday, May 13 to make sure your ballot is received and counted on May 17.
• In person: Take it directly to your County Board of Elections or a satellite voting location >> [[link removed]]
Drop it into a secure ballot drop box in your county >> [[link removed]]
After you return your ballot, you can track its status here >> [[link removed]]
If you’d rather vote in person, you can also do so early at your county election office or a satellite location, which you can find here [[link removed]]. The last day for early in-person voting is May 10, and here’s how it works:
• Submit a completed mail-in or absentee ballot application when you arrive.
• Wait for your application to be processed.
• Once you receive your ballot, mark, seal, sign, and date just like the instructions require you to do for mailing in your ballot.
• Hand in your ballot.
Remember that your vote is your voice: use it. Visit this page to learn more about how to vote this year, and forward this email to a friend who might need help voting >> [[link removed]]
Thanks for using your voice.
