John —
After a draft SCOTUS opinion was leaked last night that would strike down Roe v. Wade, it’s clear what we must do: we must turn our anguish into action and relentlessly fight back on all fronts to defend abortion rights before it’s too late.
And one of the best ways we can fight back is to elect pro-choice women to Congress who will stand up for abortion rights.
That’s why we are proud to endorse a whole slate of pro-choice progressive women of color running for Congress this year — from Summer Lee in PA to Erica Smith and Nida Allam in NC to Jessica Cisneros, Michelle Vallejo, and Jasmine Crockett in TX.
Sign up to join us for a phone or text bank tonight or over the next few days to elect pro-choice women to Congress who will fight to codify Roe v. Wade into law:

It's clearer more than ever that we need WFP champions in Congress who believe abortion care is health care and who will stop at nothing to protect our right to abortion. One of those champions is Summer Lee, and this week we’ll be texting voters in her district.

Monday 5/9, 6-8pm ET: Phonebank for Nida Allam w/ Sunrise
Nida Allam is a powerful community leader and the first Muslim woman elected to office in NC. She's running an unapologetically progressive campaign that leaves no one behind, and she's poised to be another bold fighter in Congress. If elected she will fight to codify Roe v. Wade into law and overturn the Hyde Amendment.

This is a tough moment for our movement and our communities. But we won’t give up without a fight.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
