John,

Chief Justice John Roberts has confirmed the authenticity of the leaked majority opinion draft of the United States Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The official ruling will come. And if this opinion holds, Governor Walz and I will be the last line of defense for abortion rights in Minnesota.

It’s OK if you’re scared. I am, too. But the best antidote to fear is to organize, vote, and fight like hell to protect our rights. Minnesota is a leader in reproductive health care access, and as long as Governor Walz and I are in office, it will stay that way.

Without Roe v. Wade as a safeguard, it’s never been more important for us to keep the Governor’s office from falling into the hands of our anti-choice Republican opponents. Our campaign is moving to double our early organizing program to hold the line, but we still need to raise more than $35,000 by Friday to execute our revised plans.

According to our records, we’re still missing your support this year. Will you pitch in today help us make up the difference? There’s no better time to make a difference than right now.

Miigwech. Thank you.

Peggy Flanagan
