ANNOUNCEMENTS

Emergency protest tonight in DTLA

TONIGHT! Tuesday, May 3 @ 6:30 p.m.

The Supreme Court plans to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to a draft opinion leaked yesterday. As socialists, we believe that abortion is healthcare, and healthcare is a human right.

Join DSA-LA and other organizations in protest tonight at 6:30pm outside the US Courthouse in Downtown LA: 350 W. 1st St, Los Angeles.

Also, sign on below to the national DSA pledge to take action. They may have the courts, but we have the people power.

Healthcare Justice Committee meeting tonight

TONIGHT! Tuesday, May 3 @ 7:30 p.m.

Members of the DSA-LA Healthcare Justice Committee would like to invite members of DSA-LA to attend an emergency Zoom meeting at 7:30pm on Tuesday, May 3rd.

This meeting will be hosted by the women of HJC and we would like it to be an opportunity for those personally affected by anti-choice legislation to have their voices heard.

We are angry and we need a space to share, discuss, and organize immediate, actionable next steps.

Thank you for coming out to May Day 2022

A huge thank-you to everyone who showed up to rep DSA-LA on Sunday at the 2022 May Day march! Over 130 members came out to march in solidarity with workers. And a massive personal thank you to everyone who helped lead chants, marshal folks, pass out water and snacks and t-shirts, set up, cleaned up, phone and text banked for turnout, gave speeches, shuttled supplies, and attended countless planning meetings for the last six weeks. The excitement in the air was vibrant. A better world is possible!
