With news that the Supreme Court is set to overturn Roe v Wade, electing
more progressives to the U.S. Senate, Governorships, State legislatures,
and within the judicial system has never been more important than it is
right now.

Our Save the Senate, Purple to Blue, and Establish Justice campaigns are
specifically designed to fight in moments like these.

Fundamental rights are on the line. What we do between now and November
will make an enormous difference.

Yes, protecting the right to an abortion in states hellbent on attacking
it will be difficult, no doubt. But, for the sake of women everywhere, we
have to give it our all by working to fuel three of DFA’s most critical
campaigns:

* Purple to Blue: Our work to flip legislative chambers and win
statewide races in conservative states where Democrats rarely invest
energy or resources is the best line of defense to fight for a woman’s
right to choose. Electing candidates like Beto O’Rourke and Stacey
Abrams will be critical to fighting any laws Republicans pass on the
state level.

 

* Establish Justice: Republicans continue to work day and night to stack
the courts with conservative judges because they know that our courts
have power over so many issues. Our Establish Justice Initiate will
combat this by working to fill the courts with progressive thinkers
that will uphold a woman’s right to choose.

 

* Save the Senate: With a more progressive Senate, we can overcome Joe
Manchin’s obstruction to abolish the filibuster and codify Roe v Wade
into law. DFA’s four U.S. Senate candidates Cheri Beasley - NC,
Mandela Barnes - WI, Malcolm Kenyatta - PA, and Charles Booker - KY
will deliver a Senate that fights for our rights, instead of turning
the Senate into a seal of approval for the Republican's right-wing
agenda.

In the critical weeks to come, we'll be driving DFA members to call, march
and protest on Capitol Hill and State Capitols to ensure that we build up
the grassroots support we need to fight back against a wave of anti-choice
efforts that will take cruelty against women to entirely new extremes.
