Dear Friend,

With the upcoming expansion of our legal offices in 5 new states, the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) is working on fostering key partnerships in preparation for the increase of refugees and immigrant in need of legal assistance.

Collaborating with partners is a big part of what we do. Our Washington, D.C. office, for example, makes it a priority to develop relationships with other community organizations and local schools that work in the best interest of unaccompanied children. They have partnerships with the D.C. public school system, the Latin America Youth Center, the League of United Latin American Citizens, and the National Immigrant Justice Center, to name a few.

USCRI D.C. works with community members by providing in-person and virtual Know Your Rights presentations and through a referral system where our partners direct immigrants to USCRI for free legal consultations and services, which can include legal representation in court, filing asylum applications, work permits, and more.

“The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants provided a great presentation to our youth and families, reassuring them about their rights in this country and how they can obtain services with dignity. We are thankful for the legal services they provide our community members and look forward to collaborating in the future.” - Jesse Garcia, State Director of LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens)

Please consider donating today and supporting refugees and immigrants with legal assistance that is vital for rebuilding their lives in the U.S.

Thank you,

Kevin Sturtevant, CFRE
Vice President, Strategic Development
USCRI
