Team,

In case you missed the Politico headline last night, the Supreme Court is reportedly poised to strike down Roe v. Wade.

We've always known the stakes (same as you). Now it's clear to everyone.

Last year, NewDem Members voted overwhelmingly to codify Roe v. Wade by passing the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA), an important step in the fight to protect a woman's right to make her own choices about her life and future. Today, we renew our mission to protect the House Majority so that we can continue fighting to uphold the freedoms enshrined in Roe v. Wade as well as oppose future GOP assaults on reproductive freedom.

Remember: Abortion is still legal and is still a constitutional right today. We must come together to protect women's autonomy, equality, and constitutional right to privacy.

This is about the women whose health freedom is at risk if Roe is struck down. It's about the LGBTQ community's right to marry and live in peace. It's about access to contraception and the most basic, fundamental privacy rights we have as Americans.

There's plenty you can do right now to take action.

Stay strong, friend.
