Supreme Court has voted to overturn abortion rights, draft opinion shows May 2, 2022

Last night news broke that the Supreme Court appears poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, upending decades of settled law and sending us backwards. While abortion is still legal for now, seeing this decision in writing is profoundly disturbing.

Right now I'm reminded of the New Hampshire state motto: Live Free or Die. Reproductive freedoms are under attack. They're trying to control women's bodies. And history tells us that the fall of Roe won't be the end of abortions, just the end of safe and legal abortions.

We cannot let it happen.

If the Supreme Court won’t protect the right to choose, it’s up to all of us. In the House, we passed the Women's Health Protection Act which would enshrine reproductive freedom into the law, nullifying this disastrous draft ruling. But the Senate still hasn't passed it! It's time to move now.

We must codify Roe v. Wade. Sign my petition to make it clear to the Senate that this is urgent and they must send the Women's Health Protection Act to Joe Biden's desk ASAP.
