Will you join me in helping pregnant people make their own decisions about abortion?

John,

This news is not surprising, but it remains shocking.

According to a report last night from POLITICO, the "Supreme Court has voted to overturn abortion rights" in a private vote among the justices that could become final in just a few short weeks.

As a physician of over two decades, I have sat with pregnant people making incredibly difficult decisions and seen firsthand the challenges and stigma people face in accessing abortions and reproductive health care. And I can tell you, in no uncertain terms, that if the draft opinion leaked last night becomes final and Roe v. Wade is overturned, pregnant people will lose their lives, their health, and their bodily autonomy.

Right now, abortion is still legal. But for many, it is already difficult to access abortion and reproductive health care. Local abortion funds play a critical role in helping pregnant people receive the care they need, and they need your support now more than ever.

Will you join me in helping pregnant people make their own decisions about abortion? Chip in now to support over 80 abortion funds across the country.

Anti-abortion politicians have spent decades distorting the facts and outright lying to push an agenda that punishes pregnant people and the medical professionals who care for them. We've known this could be coming, but this cannot be the end of our fight. We must use our voices and our vote to speak out for abortion rights and reproductive freedom.

It's more urgent than ever that Congress not only codify Roe v. Wade but also expand abortion access by making it available at no cost to anyone who needs or wants it. We must also expand access to the full range of reproductive health care, including making contraception available over the counter at no cost, because we know this assault on reproductive rights won't stop at abortion access.

Whether as a physician or leading Pennsylvania's third-largest county, I have never backed away from defending abortion care and reproductive freedom. This is central to the fight to defend science and truth. We must stand together for abortion care and demand action to protect it. And we must elect more people to office, especially women, who will make this a priority.

Our fight is far from over, and I won't back down from this fight until anyone who needs or wants an abortion can access it free from barriers and stigma. Today that means I'm supporting abortion funds that ensure abortion is accessible to pregnant people across the country.

Join me in making sure pregnant people can receive the care they need. Chip in to help abortion funds provide the resources to make abortion accessible to all.

With determination,

Val
