Last night, POLITICO reported that the Supreme Court is on the brink of overturning Roe v. Wade – the decision that secured the right to legal abortion nearly fifty years ago.

Let me be clear: This is a draft decision and Roe v. Wade remains the law of the land. No one should be deterred from seeking reproductive health care at this time.

But with the Supreme Court’s decision looming, it’s never been more important to protect and expand our Democratic House majority. I’m a pro-choice pastor and in Congress, I will be a vote to codify Roe v. Wade into law.

But first, I need your support of $25 or whatever you can to defeat anti-choice Republican Madison Cawthorn and reach our $10,000 emergency Rapid Response goal.

This is a challenging day for many of us, folks – and I’m thinking especially of everyone who’s faced the choice the Supreme Court is now threatening to take away.

But together, we can take action in the next few weeks to ensure that reproductive health care remains safe, legal, and accessible in North Carolina and across the country.
