There is not a single issue debated in American politics that doesn’t affect veterans and military families. The same can be said for decisions by the United States Supreme Court.

Reproductive rights have long been in the crosshairs of the extreme right — in Congress, local legislatures, and in the courts.

If last night’s draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade is accurate, it would be a terrible step backward for our country — and have a devastating impact on the rights of veterans, active duty troops, and military families.

Veterans fought to protect the Constitution of the United States and we will not stand idly by while a handful of ultra right-wing judges chip away at protections afforded to all Americans.

We did not fight for freedom overseas only to have our own freedoms taken away at home.

So while Congress decides what to do next, it’s up to us to make our voices heard:
