** VICTORY!!
------------------------------------------------------------
John...
You did it!
Tynemouth Market have decided to no longer allow the display of owls at it's market! They have removed the trader who had owls tied down by their legs, and offering the birds up for photos with shoppers.
Tied down by their legs, these birds were denied the freedom for flight, something that is so important to a bird. Instead they were made to endure the crowds of shoppers and noise of a busy market.
BUT thanks to your actions, the Market owners have listened and the birds will no longer be forced to endure this suffering!
** Thank you so much.

Unfortunately the market is now experiencing a counter campaign, from people who are trying to have the trader reinstated.
It would be great if lots of people could go onto the market's facebook page and leave lots of positive comments, thanking them for doing the right thing. So people can see that they made a compassionate choice for animals which is supporterd by us all!
Could you do that for me today?

Hundreds of activists like you took action for these birds. It goes to show once again the power we can have when we work together for animals!
I have one more thing to ask of you today. This victory is amazing but sadly there are many more birds being tethered and exploited for human entertainment. Please would you consider sending a donation today, no matter how small, to help us fight for them too? ([link removed])

P.S. Thank you very much for speaking up for these owls. I am delighted that the market have now removed this suffering. But sadly there are many more situations like this that need tackling. Please will you consider sending a donation today to help even more owls and other birds? Thank you. ([link removed])
