Late last night, Politico released the contents of a leaked draft opinion written by Supreme Court Justice Alito — a decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and end the constitutional right to an abortion.

Today, this much remains true: Abortion is STILL legal and this is NOT the final ruling.

But as we wait for an imminent decision, we need to take action to support those who will be most impacted: If you are able, please consider splitting a donation between the Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California and the National Network of Abortion Funds. Their work has never been more critical.

We all knew the odds, but it is nonetheless shocking to see our worst fears being confirmed as the Court moves towards overturning 50 years of precedent in a stunning revocation of our right to have an abortion.

This was always the goal for Republicans: when they coalesced around Trump in 2016, when Mitch McConnell stole two seats on the court, and when GOP-led state legislatures paved the way for criminalizing abortion by passing trigger bans dependent on this very decision from the Supreme Court.

And this is not the endgame. Because it never stopped at abortion — it’s been about controlling and criminalizing our bodies.

So while I get to work in Washington to finish what we set out to do months ago and get a bill to codify Roe through both chambers of Congress and onto President Biden’s desk, I’m asking for you to help out where your donations will be most impactful:
