We can’t expect the federal government to protect civil liberties.

With a filibuster and Republicans stopping all progress in the Senate and a Supreme Court ripping civil liberties to shreds, our rights will be decided at the state level.

After the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, Republicans in Georgia are going to immediately launch attacks on abortion rights.

But they won’t stop there.

The Supreme Court has already shown they’re willing to overturn established cases that protect civil liberties – liberties like marriage equality.

If we don’t protect our civil liberties at the state level, Republicans WILL try to rip those away too.
