We must fight to enshrine the right to an abortion. We must act.

Welch for Vermont

Hello,

For nearly five decades now, Roe v. Wade has been the law of the land. The constitutional right to an abortion has helped make it possible for folks to shape their own futures, for families to decide how and when they grow, and for more people to have equity of opportunity.

Now, with a draft ruling leaked, it’s clear the the Supreme Court is ready to end the right to abortion and overturn Roe.

Congress must act. In the House, we passed the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would codify Roe into law nationwide. But Senate Republicans filibustered it. To defend abortion rights in every state, we must abolish the filibuster.

We need folks like you to take action right away. If you agree that we should abolish the filibuster and codify Roe, add your name.

The Women’s Health Protection Act would protect the right to choose no matter what the Supreme Court decides.

When Roe v. Wade falls, it will jeopardize the health of millions. And we know who will be harmed the most: people of color, people with disabilities, young people, immigrants, and those struggling to make ends meet.

As Senator, I will vote to end the filibuster to ensure every person in America has the right to an abortion.

Are you with me? Add your name to tell the Senate to codify Roe right away.

Together,

Peter
