In the coming weeks, we will learn if the U.S. Supreme Court decides to overturn Roe v. Wade.
If the Supreme Court overturns Roe, abortion could become illegal in Michigan in nearly any circumstance and deprive Michiganders of the ability to make critical health care decisions for themselves.
Not on my watch. As states across the country are rolling back abortion rights, it’s time to act – and I’ll fight like hell to defend access to safe, legal abortion.
That’s why I filed a lawsuit and used my executive authority to urge the Michigan Supreme Court to immediately affirm the right to abortion and ensure Michigan’s arcane 1931 ban never goes back into effect.
