Late last night, I was horrified when I saw this headline from POLITICO:

“Exclusive: Supreme Court has voted to overturn abortion rights, draft opinion shows”

This morning, I woke up more resolved than ever to protect a woman’s right to choose.

If this stands, each state will be a battleground over a woman’s choice, meaning a governor will be the strongest safeguard against anti-choice legislation in their state.

And we know where our current governor stands on this issue. It has never been more important that we defeat Ron DeSantis and ensure a Democratic victory in this race.

Early in my career, I stopped a bill in the State Senate that would have required a 24 hour waiting period. As your governor, I vetoed an anti-abortion bill. And I’ll do it again — because I will always stand with women.

It is clear that we cannot rely on the Supreme Court to defend women’s rights, and we know that Ron DeSantis doesn’t care. But John, you can count on me — and I know I can count on you.
