[A Conversation on Mental Health in Entertainment]([link removed])

As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, please join us for “A Conversation on Mental Health in Entertainment” in partnership with the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, at 2pm ET today, May 3.

The discussion, on the role of entertainment in depicting mental health on screen, will update viewers on a new study from the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, “Mental Health Conditions Across 200 Popular Films,” which examines the prevalence and portrayal of mental health conditions in the 100 top-grossing films of 2019, comparing the findings to those from the Initiative’s report on popular films from 2016.

The conversation, which will discuss both the positive and negative potential of the way mental health is captured in on-screen storytelling, will include panelists:

- Kristen Bell, actor, producer, author and entrepreneur
- Christine Yu Moutier, chief medical officer, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
- Stacy L. Smith, associate professor of communication and founder of the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative
- Jay Shetty, purpose coach, NY Times #1 best-selling author and podcaster
