Folks, I need to make sure you saw my email from last night about the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. 

Today is Ohio’s primary election and the stakes of our battleground Senate race have never been higher. Every single one of my GOP opponents supports dangerous, restrictive anti-abortion laws. 

JD Vance called pregnancy from rape “​​inconvenient” and tweeted that he hoped the news of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade was “true.” 

Josh Mandel wants Roe overturned, and even supports Ohio’s extreme heartbeat legislation and other dangerous bills across the country that would allow people to sue anyone who helps someone get an abortion.

It’s despicable and we can’t let them anywhere near the United States Senate. Our only choice to protect reproductive rights is to win this race and expand our Democratic Senate majority. 

Our fight has never been more important. Please, if you can, make a contribution to our campaign at this critical moment. Every dollar you give will go toward winning the Senate majority and protecting this right.

Moments ago, the Supreme Court’s draft decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was leaked. This is incredibly difficult news and I’m outraged. 

Overturning Roe would be catastrophic for Ohio, where Republicans have introduced one extreme proposal after another to ban abortion before most women even know they're pregnant.

Our work has never been more important than right now. A 50/50 Senate has failed to protect abortion for people across the country. From the minority, Republicans abused the filibuster to block the Women’s Health Protection Act that would have codified Roe.

50/50 is not enough. If we want to make an impact on the issues that really matter, we must expand our Democratic majority—and that means we must win this race. 

I wouldn’t say this if I didn’t mean it: one of the most important things you can do to fight for reproductive rights is make a donation to this campaign. If we can flip this seat, we can expand the Democratic majority and protect the right to an abortion.

Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have made their plan clear all along: pack the courts with right-wing judges, empower state legislatures across the country to pass extreme, dangerous anti-abortion bills, and overturn Roe.

We cannot let them get away with it. 

Women and their families deserve the freedom to make the best decision for themselves.
