Pittsburgh's 'eds and meds' are economic drivers. But their tax status largely passes the bill for government to the rest of us.
Today, PublicSource is launching The Exempt Dilemma ([link removed]) with an exclusive early look into a report by city and county controllers at what five major nonprofits would owe if they weren't mostly exempt from property taxes.
