Today is a hard day.

Last night’s news of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade is many things. It is terrifying, it is disgusting, and it is an attack on women’s rights. It is not, however, a reason to stop fighting. Abortions are essential health care, and I will always defend the right to choose.

As a women’s health care provider, the issue of abortion care is particularly close to my heart. I have been in the room when these health care decisions have been made, and they are never taken lightly. Self-determination and the freedom of choice are fundamental rights.

Republicans and the far right are infiltrating at every level of government in an attempt to take away your rights. That is why it is so important to have Democrats that will fight for your best interests in every possible seat. Help me be an advocate for you by making a contribution of $10 today.
