Countdown to World Oceans Day

Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is proud to kick off our first-ever Countdown to World Oceans Day #countdowntoworldoceansday

Countdown to World Oceans Day is a month-long campaign that needs YOU to help build a global wave of awareness and engagement leading into World Oceans Day on June 8, 2022!

Throughout our Countdown to World Oceans Day, YOU can tune into our social media and live programming for cutting-edge information on our Oceans, including helpful consumer tips, and updates about other Sea Shepherd campaigns that are protecting marine wildlife.

YOU can save 10% at our Sea Shepherd store HERE <[link removed]> by using the code word OCEANSDAY.

Calling All Junior Sea Shepherds!

Kids can join the Countdown through the “Junior Sea Shepherds” art project, which will engage the next generation of ocean leaders from around the world. Parents, teachers, and guardians can enter drawings of the child's favorite marine animals HERE <[link removed]>. Junior Sea Shepherd contestants will be placed into the following categories: ages 4-8-years-old, 9-12-years-old, and 13-16-years-old. The entry fee for each picture is picking up 10 pieces of trash! Prizes will be announced throughout the month, and winners will be named just before World Oceans Day!

Amazon Boto Expedition

Thanks to your generous support, the River Dolphin-focused Boto Expedition in Brazil was a tremendous success. On May 17, Sea Shepherd Brazil will be debuting its mini-documentary highlighting the 2022 Boto Expedition. We will also be kicking off Operation Guadalupe in Mexico, which will study beaked whales. Explorer Chris Bertish will also join us to discuss his 2,500-mile solo Trans-Pacific journey, during which he will be raising funds for SSCS. Our photographers will bring you underwater to see the oceans through their lens, and much, much more!
