Antisemitic incidents are at an all-time high in the U.S.
Fight the Rising Tide of Hate

Fight Antisemitism and Hate For Good

Dear John,

Antisemitic assaults, harassment and vandalism reached a historic high in 2021, according to the newly released Audit of Antisemitic Incidents conducted by the ADL Center on Extremism.

From backing a minivan into a group of Jewish men to slapping a Jewish 3-year-old in the face, it’s clear that antisemites, extremists and white supremacists will stop at nothing to spread their dangerous beliefs and sow fear in our communities. So, we can’t stop fighting back either.

We must take action now before this rising tide of hatred claims lives. Please make your gift of $50, $75 or $100 now to help ADL fight antisemitism and hate of all kinds.

Stop Antisemitism Now
Highest Incidents Ever Recorded

The numbers we tracked last year will horrify you: 2,717 antisemitic incidents, a 34 percent increase from 2020. A 167 percent spike in assaults. A 106 percent surge in incidents at schools. A 60 percent rise in attacks on Jewish institutions, like community centers and synagogues.

Some of the stories are too disturbing to share. But here are a few I can tell you about...

  • A Jewish man wearing a yarmulke was punched, kicked and pepper-sprayed by a group of men in Manhattan.
  • A teacher giving a lesson on the Holocaust told their class, “Maybe the Jews deserved to die.”
  • In Los Angeles, two Orthodox Jewish boys were shot at with a paintball gun in the driveway of their home.
  • A synagogue in Colorado received a call threatening, “Watch your back. We are coming for you... The Zionists and the Jews.”
  • And across the country, Jewish cemeteries were desecrated with swastikas and SS bolts.

The painful truth is that antisemitism is in all of our communities. And no one can be safe until everyone is safe. Will you help ADL fight back against hate today?

Give Now

John, I know this increase in antisemitism and hate can feel disheartening. But I also see it as a galvanizing call to action. We cannot give up the fight. Our work together is too important!

With your continued support, ADL will keep working with law enforcement to track antisemites and extremists so they can be stopped before their actions turn deadly. We’ll keep advocating for stronger hate crime legislation. We’ll keep partnering with schools to educate students and teachers on how to identify hate and root it out before it spreads. And so much more!

Thank you for helping ADL Fight Hate for Good. Please give again today.

Gratefully,
