I’ve been clear about being pro-choice since day one.

John, according to a new report in POLITICO, the Supreme Court is on the brink of overturning Roe v. Wade — eliminating a woman’s right to choose.

It’s clearer now than ever before. There is one way to ensure we protect abortion rights in Pennsylvania — winning this Governor’s race.

Please, will you donate $5 or whatever feels right to you in this moment to support our campaign? We cannot afford to elect a Republican Governor — because they won’t hesitate to take us backward.

I’ve never held back from stating the facts, John — but the stakes of this election could not be higher. A woman’s right to choose and make decisions over her own body is on the ballot in Pennsylvania.

For nearly 50 years, Roe v. Wade has been the law of the land — protecting women’s right to choose and reproductive health. But that right is under attack — and it will be up to each and every state to determine whether the women who reside there can have an abortion.

That is a heavy sentence to write, John, but it’s true. It is going to be up to the states to protect the right to choose — and we must make sure abortion stays legal and accessible in Pennsylvania.

I’ve been clear about being pro-choice since day one. As the People’s Attorney General, I took on the Trump Administration in federal court to protect access to contraception, won an injunction against the “gag rule,” and filed an amicus brief in support of the U.S. Department of Justice’s challenge to Texas’ early-term abortion ban.

As Governor, I will protect a woman’s right to choose. But first, we need to win this competitive race — because our GOP opponents all say they want to ban abortion in Pennsylvania.

Can you donate right now to help defend abortion rights in Pennsylvania?

This is a tough moment for many of us, John — and I am thinking especially of every woman who’s faced the choice the Supreme Court is now threatening. But together, we can ensure that abortion remains safe, legal, and accessible in Pennsylvania — and we will.

Sincerely,

Josh Shapiro
