Dear Friend,

It has been eight months since we made history in Kitchener Centre. I'm
honoured to be the first Green MP elected from Ontario. Believe me, the
last eight months have been a steep learning curve! But I know our mighty
Green caucus is making a big difference in Ottawa, working across party
lines to push for more climate action, more support for Canadians with
disabilities, more mental health funding - the list goes on and on.

I draw inspiration from the amazing work Mike Schreiner has been doing -
completely on his own - at Queen's Park. Since 2018 when Mike made history
by becoming Ontario's first Green MPP, it has been clear - Greens have been
the most effective opposition party in the legislature. Imagine what Mike
could accomplish with a team!

Journalists and citizen groups know this is true. This recent CBC article
[1] reflects the respect Ontario voters have for Mike and the momentum
building behind him and his team

So, this is an unusual appeal from the Green Party of Canada. If you live
in Ontario, I'm asking you: please, DO NOT SEND THE GREEN PARTY OF CANADA
ANY DONATIONS - until after June 2. Please direct your financial resources
to the Green Party of Ontario.

Let's do everything we can to help Mike and his team!
This is the second last email appeal you will get from us until the
election is over.

If you do not live in Ontario, the bad news is that it is not legal for
out-of-province Greens to send donations. During this time, as we
prioritize supporting the GPO, if you live outside Ontario please consider
INCREASING your financial support for the Green Party of Canada so we can
continue rebuilding and get set to launch our leadership contest in late
May, as required by our Constitution.

But _wherever you live_, please consider helping Mike Schreiner, Deputy
Leaders Dianne Saxe and Abhijeet Manay and their full roster of great
candidates by signing up to volunteer. GPO needs volunteers knocking on
doors and making phone calls into key ridings where our candidates can win.
If you have never done this before, it is easy and fun. And you will get
training!

Support from across the country was critical to our success in Kitchener,
and I know it will be for Ontario Greens as well.
