** Oh mother how could
I live without remembering
you during every single one of my minutes?

Dear John,

Every year, thousands of expectant mothers look to the United States for hope: hope for freedom, better education, and accessible medical care for their families. From their homeland to their destination cities, dangers abound. The price of hope often proves to be significant, but every month, countless women make the necessary choices required to safeguard the future prospect of migrating families. Through our work on the border, we have been granted front row seats to personally witness how these selfless sacrifices displayed by brave women carving out a new home for themselves are the penultimate expression of a mother’s love, because #SheWasBornToCare.

The belief that #SheWasBornToCare (#EllaNacióParaCuidar) is a crucial aspect of our work. In addition to providing services directly to mothers, many of our staff members were fortunate to be raised by incredible mothers, as well as serving as mothers of their own. Earlier this year, we witnessed firsthand the greatness of motherhood when author, philanthropist, and mother MacKenzie Scott invested $5 million into our work, trusting that the gift would go where it proved to be most valuable. Simply put, behind every facet of our work stands a woman worth admiring because #SheWasBornToCare and channels that care out into the universe. Ultimately, mothers make our work possible.

So with our latest fundraising campaign, we are choosing to focus on them—and just in time for Mother’s Day!

From now until May 8, supporters will have the option to celebrate the beautiful gift that mothers make possible with this campaign, designed to exclusively benefit the work we perform at the border with migrating mothers, and their babies. Every donor will have the ability to share their own stories of a mother they would like to highlight as part of our #SheWasBornToCare campaign which will be featured across our social media accounts.

As an added incentive, we have gathered an incredible gift basket of items to embrace the treasure that moms are—including a new Fitbit Flex 2, gift certificates for virtual painting lessons, hand-painted greeting cards, and a beautiful heart frame, to name just a few—that will reward one generous donor just in time to celebrate the mothers making a difference in the lives of others.

To enter, simply
navigate to this link ([link removed]) and make your donation, including the details of what mother you are choosing to honor today. Every $10 increment will earn givers a ticket for our raffle. The winning donor will be selected on Mother’s Day.

To each and every mother, we say: thank you for making our impact possible.
