Friends,
On December 5, we’ll share a meal to celebrate the end of another successful year of 350 Fairfax. We accomplished so much in 2019 and have so much to be grateful for!
We lobbied our state legislators to get OFF Fossil Fuels, ban plastic bags, and endorse a Virginia Green New Deal during the 2019 General Assembly session.
We got our ambitious Fossil Free Fairfax resolution recognized in the Fairfax Green Initiatives board matter, passed unanimously by the Board of Supervisors in February, and we held three important environmental forums for candidates in the Board of Supervisors races across the county.
We hosted our second annual Plastic Free Challenge and launched a brand new restaurant campaign, Earth Friendly Fairfax, calling on local restaurants to reduce their overall waste.
We collaborated with countless local organizations on actions, events, and campaigns.
And we grew our membership to more than 1,000!!
We worked hard this year, and now it’s time to celebrate. Join us for a potluck on December 5!
This is our third annual end of year potluck. We’ll review the work of the last year and look forward to 2020. We’ll outline campaign goals for the next few months.
But mostly we’ll spend some time basking in gratitude and connecting with one another as people—not just as climate activists. After all, don’t the best ideas always emerge in casual conversation?
Please bring a vegetarian dish to share. We will provide beverages.
Find details and RSVP here or on Facebook. We’ll see you there!
