Dear Friend,
From our entire Emgage team, we want to wish you and your family a heartful Eid Mubarak.
We pray that Ramadan has been a means of purifying, opening, and softening hearts, healing severed ties, and illuminating pathways towards the Divine previously unbeknownst to us. And as we welcome Eid Al Fitr, we hope that it is just the beginning of implementing the blessed fruits of this path month in the service of creating a world that is more emblematic of the ideals of love, generosity, compassionate listening, healing, and justice that our religion and Beloved Messenger ﷺ call us towards.
In addition to more conventional acts of worship, our team at Emgage has utilized this month to release our 2020 Muslim American Voter Turnout Report, and, to launch “Million Muslim Votes 2.0”- a campaign that, based on the success of the original version, seeks to promote an unprecedented number of Muslim American voters in the midterm elections. True to our word, we helped turn out a million Muslim voters in the general elections, and we can make it happen again- inshaAllah.

With the launch of these two major endeavors this Ramadan, we learned a plethora of things. Importantly, that we have the ability, and responsibility, to change the worldly life we live in so that it is more in line with our values. We have the responsibility to create a world in which our kids aren’t discriminated while they wear the hijab, where we don’t need to compromise our prayers out of fear of being a victim of a hate crime, where Muslim Bans and institutionalized Islamophobia aren’t normalized.
We believe that voting is the primary means through which our community can have our voices be heard, our values represented, and for our vision of a positive future for Muslim Americans to be actualized. It is essential that we vote and elect the right leaders, in order to engage with elected officials and shape our nation’s political framework.
As you enjoy cherished time with your loved ones on this blessed Eid day, remember that we need your help to allow us to help create a better environment for your family, and forgenerations to come.
