Help reduce stigma, Friend.

Many of us will struggle with a mental health issue at some point: there's no shame in it. This Mental Health Awareness Month, we are countering stigma around mental health so LGBTQ young people have no doubt that they can ask for help.

Each Monday this month, we’ll be sharing resources centered on promoting ways to advocate for the mental health of LGBTQ youth. Here’s our first resource:

Creating Safer Spaces in Schools for LGBTQ Youth

The majority of young people spend many of their waking hours at school, surrounded by teachers, administrators, and peers who may have different views and opinions than they do. For LGBTQ youth in particular, school can be a tricky place to explore their identity, especially if they face harassment, discrimination, or a lack of resources.

Here are some ways you can help foster a safer space.
