From Rolling Back Prices... to Rolling Back Our Values

Dear John,

Following "Pride Month" in June, with rainbow flags flying everywhere, you've likely noticed a disturbing trend.

Big Business is using its influence to push a radical, anti-faith, anti-family agenda. And the products and services we purchase provide the profits they then use to attack our values!

Make no mistake: many hard-working CEOs in America's heartland simply want to run their businesses, not wade into social activism. Former and current leaders of some major companies have confided in me privately about their concerns.

They tell me how radical activists with hidden agendas have cropped up in their own Human Resources departments. Executives are being forced to act out of a fear of protests or even legal consequences rather than doing what's best for their companies.

These CEOs tell me they feel they are being held hostage by activists within their own ranks.

At FRC, we are working every day to ensure morally confused policies do not prevail against our families and freedoms in the public square. It's why I am asking for your prayers and financial partnership as FRC leads the fight against these nefarious schemes.

Powerful major corporations are no longer working to roll back prices -- now they're rolling back our values.

Their mission of providing quality goods and services to serve customers and make a profit has been hijacked by a leftist agenda. In response, we must become more educated consumers.

Living near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, my wife and I have done our homework on our shopping options. We often drive past a big-box retailer and visit a locally-owned grocery store.

It's not just that the owner plays Christian music in the store. He actually supports local churches' Vacation Bible School outreaches. Most of all, he is in business to sell goods, not use his position to wade into the social and political fray.

Maybe it costs us a few dollars more every trip, but it's worth it. He's invested in our community -- and is supporting our values, not working against them.

It takes only a little research and action to make simple choices that matter. Two longtime allies of FRC, 2nd Vote and The Timothy Plan, offer useful and up-to-date research on this front.

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also," says Matthew 6:21.

God will hold us accountable for how we use what he provides. As representatives of the Kingdom of God, you serve a higher purpose and a greater kingdom. And your support of FRC enables us to be a light and witness on Capitol Hill.

DONATE NOW

Holding fast to the timeless truths of God's Word, while expressing the dignity of every person, is what drives our mission at FRC, despite the powerful forces allied against us.

Together, we must send a message to Big Business that we won't stand by while they push for policies and proposed laws like the Equality Act that will impact all Americans, from large corporations to small businesses, schools, and even churches.

I will be updating you soon about the surprising backers of the Equality Act. For now, here's a simple step you can take this week. When you stop doing business with companies that attack your values, I encourage you to send a letter telling them so.

For example: "After I learned of your support for the Equality Act, or your open-restroom policy for people identifying as transgender, or saw your recent rating on 2nd Vote, I want you to know you have lost a loyal customer."

I've heard from those leading some of America's largest companies that such letters speak powerfully to them. This kind of communication and commitment is in keeping with God's Word, which calls us to be salt and light with our words and actions.

Here at FRC, we exist to amplify your Christian voice in our nation's halls of power.

Will you send a generous donation today to strengthen our efforts on behalf of your family?

I thank you for every dollar sown to further our vital mission.

P.S. - Just weeks ago, more than 100 companies ran a full-page ad in the New York Times proclaiming support for abortion-on-demand and decrying our values as "bad for business." In reality, pro-life states like North Carolina, Texas, and Georgia are near the top in job growth! Please support FRC as we send a message to America's big businesses to stop opposing their own customers!
