Sponsor Eid Toys for Kids Impacted by Jan. 9 Bronx Fire
On January 9, 2022, a tragic five-alarm fire at the Bronx Twin Park Northwest building took the lives of 17 Muslim community members and left more than a hundred families displaced. On March 4th, 2022 MCN started distributing funds we raised to families in the amount of $800 to $2,000 based on family size, and those that lost loved ones received $4,000 and provided 300 meals and 200 to go bags with daily essentials.
As the Muslim holiday of Eid Al Fitr is approaching, the impacted families remain in our thoughts, especially the children who have suffered from the mental and emotional stress of being displaced.
