John,

I wanted to take a moment to talk about the importance of today,
International Workers’ Day.

But first, I gotta show you this amazing banner made by Steelworkers in
the Lehigh Valley:

It’s a *big* sign. Might even be taller than me. 😳

Okay, now onto what I *really* want to talk about today.

International Workers’ Day is a day to recognize the continued struggle of
working people. Weekends, the eight hour workday, benefits — we have all
that thanks to unions + the centuries-long labor movement that built this
nation.

My commitment to the union way of life is absolute. I always have and
always will stand with all of the union workers in Pennsylvania, even when
others turn their backs on them.

We are in an exciting time for workers’ rights, from the unionization of
coffee shops across the country (including the Bloomfield Starbucks in
Pittsburgh + the five Coffee Tree Roasters across Allegheny County!!!) to
increased support of a much-needed minimum wage increase.

But we are also facing unprecedented attacks on workers + the right to
form a union. We must support our unions and pass the PRO Act — a crucial
piece of legislation to put power back into the hands of workers,
strengthen our unions, and expand the union way of life for all workers
across America.

When you send
me to the Senate this November, I promise you I will be the 51st
Democratic vote to pass the PRO Act and other necessary legislation to
support workers across PA + the country.

[ [link removed] ]If you can, please consider chipping in to support my campaign so I can
continue to support the Union way of life and fight for working families.

P.S. THANK YOU!!!!! Because of the support of grassroots donors like
you, we were able to meet our April end-of-month goal. So
let me say one more time: Thank you,
John.
