The highest court in New York struck down the illegal and unconstitutional attempt to cheat and rig our elections. Even the partisan-appointed Democrat judges couldn’t swallow how filthy this gerrymander was. This is a huge victory for free and fair elections in New York. It bears reminding that in her first major interview after ascending to governor, Kathy Hochul revealed that she would use her power to try and gerrymander districts to give Joe Biden the votes he needed for his radical agenda. This was an outrageous, brazen violation of New Yorkers' constitutional rights, but thanks to your help and the swift efforts of our New York State Republican Party, the Democrats were delivered a resounding defeat. As if the Hohculmander defeat and arrest of her Lieutenant Governor weren't enough, now Hochul and her co-conspirators in the legislature are poised to change the election law to help her avoid accountability for picking a dirty politician as her running mate. Democrats in both the Assembly and Senate have introduced legislation that they are planning to vote on in the coming days allowing Brian Benjamin to be removed from the ballot and allowing Kathy Hochul to pick someone new. First, they let Cuomo and Benjamin escape office without impeachment and now they are abusing their power to change the law and hope New Yorkers forget. This is what one-Party rule has wrought, and any legislator who votes for this is directly responsible for aiding and abetting the cesspool of Albany corruption. Elected Mayor of Walden in 2009 at the age of 23, Maher’s conservative leadership enabled the Village to pass a budget that not only remained under the tax cap but helped to address significant infrastructure issues. As Supervisor of the Town of Montgomery, Maher navigated his constituents through the uncertainty of the pandemic, expanding and creating a variety of community programs while maintaining the stability of the local economy. Watch Full Here New York's highest court strikes down Dems' 'partisan' redistricting in 'big time' defeat Fox News  New York’s highest court rejected the state’s new congressional district maps pushed through the legislature by Democrats and suggested upcoming state Senate primary elections will have to be moved back. The state’s Court of Appeals agreed in a 4-3 ruling with a group of Republican voters who sued, saying that the district boundaries had been unconstitutionally gerrymandered and that the Legislature hadn’t followed proper procedure in passing the maps. The court said it will "likely be necessary" to move the congressional and state Senate primary elections from June to August. "On these appeals, the primary questions before us are whether this failure to follow the prescribed constitutional procedure warrants invalidation of the legislature’s congressional and state senate maps and whether there is record support for the determination of both courts below that the district lines for congressional races were drawn with an unconstitutional partisan intent," the ruling stated. "We answer both questions in the affirmative and therefore declare the congressional and senate maps void. As a result, judicial oversight is required to facilitate the expeditious creation of constitutionally conforming maps for use in the 2022 election and to safeguard the constitutionally protected right of New Yorkers to a fair election." Hochul downplays election district court defeat that could cost Dems US House New York Post Republicans are now pushing back at Hochul’s suggestions that defeat at the Court of Appeals was no big deal. “The BS meter on this one is off the charts. She said it herself she had every intention of gerrymandering,” GOP state Party Chair Nick Langworthy said in a statement following her Yonkers’ appearance. “It was an illegal power grab and the highest court with a 6-1 Democrat bench slapped her down. Murders of US police officers rose 59% in 2021, to 73 killed in the line of duty, even as the general murder rate was up less than half as much. Worse, Wray noted, all too many cops died from “being ambushed or shot while out on patrol.” This follows word from the National Fraternal Order of Police that shootings of cops are up 43% so far in 2022, with 101 officers hit in the first quarter alone. It’s all because of greater disorder on our streets, the outlawing of proactive policing and a hatred for cops fueled by shameful progressive politicians. Make no mistake: The whole anti-police narrative is fundamentally a lie. Minority Americans benefited most from the country’s success in driving down crime.
