It finally happened.

Last week, Joe Biden’s Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas revealed they have created a Ministry of Truth.

The Ministry of Truth was one of the four government ministries in George Orwell’s dystopian classic Nineteen Eighty-Four, and like the others, the Ministry of Truth was named to be the precise opposite of what it actually did: The Ministry of Peace was the war department; the Ministry of Love tortured dissidents; the Ministry of Plenty controlled the food supply; the Ministry of Truth was in charge of propaganda.

Likewise in 2022, Joe Biden’s Ministry of Truth will be officially named the “Disinformation Governance Board.” Its stated goal is to “combat disinformation.”

You can safely assume it will do the opposite. The woman Biden has named to head the agency herself has a history of spreading disinformation and trashing the First Amendment.

Nina Jankowicz, a 33-year-old know-it-all, comes from the neoconservative Wilson Center, a nonprofit that produces disinformation. Jankowicz is also a former adviser to the neoliberal government of Ukraine, which she claims makes her an “internationally recognized expert on disinformation.” She also heaped praised on Christopher Steele, the author of the now-discredited Trump Dossier.

She even called herself the “Mary Poppins of disinformation.”

It’d be a great joke if it wasn’t so tragic.

Jankowicz, of course, called the now-proven Hunter Biden laptop story, “Russian disinformation.”

In another tweet regarding free speech on social media, Jankowicz said she "shudders to think about if free speech absolutists were taking over more platforms, what that would look like for the marginalized communities."

The announcement of this new agency, by mere coincidence, coincides with the reports that Elon Musk, a self-proclaimed free speech advocate, will buy Twitter.

Make no bones about it, this new agency will be the most brazen assault on the First Amendment in the past century.

Do you think they will stop at censorship? Remember, it’s a mainstream opinion among the Orwellian left that “speech is violence.” Students at Berkeley even chanted it to protest a conservative speaker on campus.

Friends of liberty, prepare for a big battle.

The Biden regime is pulling out all the stops in its war on truth, justice, and the American people.

And it’s so egregious, even those to the right of center are willing to sound the alarm.

“Secretary Mayorkas wants to implement the lesson of every dictator: that is to be the sole owner of what qualifies as ‘truth.’ George Orwell would be proud,” former Deputy Homeland Security Secretary Ken Cuccinelli told The Washington Times.

Lora Ries, a former Homeland Security deputy chief of staff, called it “an overtly political ploy” to “declare what the left believes is mis- or disinformation.”

But make no mistake: This is going to be a long and drawn-out battle with the radicals in Congress over the very essence of who gets to decide what’s true: the people or the government.
