I’ve dedicated my life to service, enlisting at the age of 20 in the U.S. Navy and serving nearly 40 years before retiring as a three-star Admiral.

Now I’m running for U.S. Senate against Chuck Grassley because elected officials in Washington need to get back to true public service – not serving their own interests and those of their campaign donors.

That’s why talking to voters and grassroots Democrats has been my favorite part of running for office. Nothing can replace hearing directly from the people who are trusting you to be a steward for them and their families in DC.
