Friends,
It’s the most moving event on my calendar each year.
On Tuesday next week, Israelis and Palestinians will gather for a joint
memorial day service to remember all those we have lost to the cycle of
injustice, terror and violence.
By mourning together, we recognize the shared pain this conflict has
inflicted on families on both sides of the Green Line. We commit ourselves
breaking the cycle of loss and devastation.
This is one of the first times in several years that I’ll be in the United
States for the service, but I still plan on attending remotely. [ [link removed] ]If

At J Street we’re proud to sponsor the joint service hosted by our friends
at Combatants for Peace and Parents Circle – Families Forum, a group which
brings bereaved families together to campaign for peace.
“Even the hardest of hearts finds it difficult not to have some empathy
when they’re faced with someone speaking about loss right in front of
them,” Robi Damelin, an advocate with Parents Circle, told J Street for a
moving profile. [ [link removed] ]Read the full story about their important work here >>
Thank you, sincerely, for being part of our movement for peace.

J Street is the political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans who want
Israel to be secure, democratic and the national home of the Jewish people.
Working in American politics and the Jewish community, we advocate policies that
advance shared US and Israeli interests as well as Jewish and democratic values,
leading to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
