ACTION SPOTLIGHT
Tell the EPA: Clean Up Power Plant Pollution And Fight the Climate Crisis
Over half of the U.S. population breathes unhealthy air every day — and power plants are one of the primary sources of this pollution.
Right now, President Biden’s EPA is considering new standards that would rein in dangerous pollution from power plants and other industrial sources.
This pollution can often travel downwind to neighboring states and impact folks living miles away. The administration’s proposed "Good Neighbor Rule" would rein in cross-state pollution and hold those polluters accountable. And it will deliver massive benefits for public health across the U.S. — especially in communities of color and low-income communities, which are disproportionately impacted by unhealthy air.
The EPA is accepting public input through June 6, so we need to make our voices heard in support of the strongest possible standards.
Tell the EPA to move forward with its proposed “Good Neighbor Rule” to reduce power plant and industrial pollution and secure clean air across the U.S.

CAMPAIGN UPDATE
Transportation is Cleaning Up Its Act
Our fight for cleaner vehicles is going places: This past month, the Biden administration issued new fuel economy standards that will save drivers money at the pump while cutting our addiction to oil.
The EPA also issued its proposed heavy-duty vehicles rule, aimed at reducing emissions from dirty diesel trucks clogging our highways, threatening our health, and driving the climate crisis. But the current proposal does NOT go far enough, and fails to accelerate the transition to zero-emission trucks.
As spiking gasoline prices because of Russia’s war in Ukraine continue to hit consumers hard, it’s clearer than ever that we must reduce America’s dependence on dirty fossil fuels.
The EPA is accepting comments on this proposal until May 13. Please submit your official public comment urging EPA to significantly strengthen its proposed clean truck standards — before it’s too late!
