John,
It’s 2022, and the stealth privatization of Medicare is well underway. Earlier this week, the New York Times published a report about how private insurance corporations operate under Medicare Advantage to drive up Medicare rates for everyone and deny care to seniors.
And under the Biden administration, a Trump-era experiment to push people on traditional Medicare into private, for-profit plans has expanded. If we don’t stop it, every senior in America will be stuck with an insurance bureaucrat denying coverage for care that their doctor says they need.
We need to EXPAND Medicare and enact Medicare for All, not let private insurance corporations dismantle the Medicare system we’ve built together over the past 57 years.
The Senate is set to unveil this year’s Medicare for All bill, which builds upon the work of generations of activists. Donate $7 today to make sure that we EXPAND Medicare, never privatize it!
When the pandemic hit, the government’s response made it clear that they’re aware of how broken our health care system is. Vaccines, tests, and treatment were free, regardless of insurance status, because people’s lives were on the line. Every other illness should be treated the same.
Medicare for All expands and improves traditional Medicare―adding dental, hearing, vision, and long-term care coverage, and saves us all money by taking greedy insurance corporations out of the equation altogether.
These past two years have made it clearer than ever: We need Medicare for All! Donate $7 now to make sure that we EXPAND Medicare, never cut or privatize it!
Thanks,
