John, we didn’t want to have to send this message today. Our finance team looked at the numbers, and we missed our final pre-primary end-of-month fundraising goal yesterday by just $2,792.

This is a bad way to start a very important day for the campaign . Lucy has her debate against our opponents tonight, and we want to make sure we make up that ground before she hits the stage, so her mind is focused on the debate – not campaign fundraising.
