Last week, Elizabeth Warren was joined in Atlanta by Rep. Ayanna Pressley and Andrea Peoples of BlackWomxnFor to give a speech about black women’s labor (If you haven’t watched it yet, give it a listen here).

But right as Warren began talking about the city’s historic 1881 washerwoman strike, she was interrupted by a group of pro-charter school protestors who were bussed in from out of state. According to The Intercept, the group is funded by the $175 billion Walton family of Walmart.1

It’s clear the billionaires are getting desperate, and their attacks are only going to ramp up from here. Can you split a donation today between Elizabeth Warren and the WFP to help combat these blatant, underhanded attacks?

We’ve always known that the ultra-wealthy are terrified by us progressives and working families.

It’s why they spend billions on lobbying each year. It’s why they pump cash into dark money super PACs to elect their preferred, pro-corporate and pro-charter school candidates. And it’s why they flood the internet with propaganda about “the dangers” of Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, or Warren’s new two-cent wealth tax.

But this astro-turf protest is a clear sign that billionaires like the Waltons are growing even more restless. They see the writing on the wall — that their mountains of limitless wealth and unchecked power are at risk — and are scaling up the attacks.
