I love being able to sit at my father's old desk and work every morning. I've placed it in front of a sunny window and decorated it with his old typewriter on which he typed out all manner of work correspondence back in the day. Add a cup of coffee and my laptop and it's the perfect place to wake up and watch the world.
This morning it's not even daylight yet and I can still hear the songs of some lively birds nearby. It sounds like I live in one of my favorite childhood Disney movies at times like this. If only those birds would help with the
housework!
Spring is definitely here in all its glory. (And with all its pollen. Seriously, my Jeep is so covered that it looks like a different vehicle.)
I've been growing veggies out on the patio. I have peas, radishes, and lettuce going at this point and they appear to be thriving on my bright, sunny Southern-facing patio. Being in the city, my goal isn't to grow all my food year-round like it might be for some of you. I just hope to grow enough produce over the summer that I can get away without buying any.
My houseplant, Keith Richards, is out there enjoying some indirect sunlight. I named him Keith Richards because no matter what sort of abuse or neglect he faces, he just doesn't die (unlike the rest of my houseplants.) I'm far better at growing things outdoors than indoors.
I hope your gardens and seedlings are going well too!
