Hey John,

I’m on my way to our last finance meeting of April, and I wanted to give you a quick update on where things stand right now.

We’re almost at our end of month goal, but we’re still $2,681 short. This finance meeting starts in 30 minutes, and I’m hoping to let them know that we’re on track to hit our goal by midnight, but to do that, we’d need to see $181 come through in the next 30 minutes.

Can I count on you to pitch in right now to help us hit our goal?

I know we’ve told you just how important this goal is for all of us, and I want to report good news to all of our stakeholders. I REALLY do not want to have to go into this meeting and tell people we’re slipping up.
