Hi there,

We know that our supporters (people like you!) are the very best messengers for this campaign and for Pete’s bold vision for the future.

We know the holiday season means time with family and friends -- and we want to make sure you have all the information you need to talk to your loved ones about why Pete is the leader we need.

We put together a quick, straight-to-the-point explainer on one of Pete’s most exciting -- and most important -- plans for our country: Medicare For All Who Want It.

Let’s break it down.

Q: What is it?
A: Through Pete’s Medicare for All Who Want It plan, everyone will have access to an affordable, comprehensive public alternative.
Q: Who will enroll?
A: Anyone not on Medicare can join the public alternative. The plan will automatically enroll individuals in affordable coverage if they are eligible for it, while those eligible for subsidized coverage will have a simple enrollment option. Individuals who fall through the cracks will be retroactively enrolled in the public option.
Q: How will it work?
A: Through a series of reforms, Pete’s plan will lower the cost of health care. At the same time he will create an affordable public health insurance plan similar to Medicare which will incentivize private insurers to compete on price and bring down costs. Every American will be able to choose what plan works best for them and their family.
Q: How will we pay for it?
This plan will cost about $1.5 trillion over 10 years. It will be paid for by rolling back the Trump corporate tax cuts, which will generate $1.4 trillion in revenue, and the rest from cost savings that result from empowering the federal government to negotiate drug prices with pharmaceutical companies.
Q: Why is it the best option?
A: The choice of a public plan empowers people to make their own decisions regarding the type of health care that makes sense for them by leveling the playing field between patients and the health care system. It gives the American people a choice and trusts them to set the pace at which our country moves in a better direction on health care.

A new era for health in America is possible, and there’s a lot of talk about how to do it. Pete’s plan is different than any other proposal, and we want to make sure you know why.

Now, we need your help in two ways: first, please let your family and friends know Medicare for All Who Want It is the best plan to fix the American health system, and second, please make a contribution to ensure we can keep up our momentum over the holidays. [[link removed]]
