With just a handful of days left in our Spring Campaign, we have some
bad news: We are still more than $38,000 short of our must-hit goal.
What's more concerning is that we're hearing about similar trends at
other progressive organizations, and many outlets are starting to wonder
. . . is this the new normal? And if so, will we be forced to cut back?
When Trump was first elected, the progressive movement saw a massive
surge in energy and activity. We knew that wouldn't last forever. But
even though Trump has been ousted from office, the most fundamental
crises we face haven't disappeared. In many ways, they've only become
more dire.
From the climate crisis to income inequality to corporate control of our
democracy-we're in a fight for our very survival. The pandemic has hit
everyone hard, and now Russian aggression in Europe has revived fears of
nuclear confrontation and the serious threat of a world war.
Our team is already working overtime, so this no time for us to lose
ground financially. We must keep fighting-and we absolutely need your
help-to make our common dreams a reality.
