John — We’re just hours away from our end-of-month deadline, and it’s incredibly important we reach our goal before midnight. Here’s why:

Last cycle, our campaign was up against millions of dollars in spending from right-wing groups desperate to elect my Republican opponent and stop our progress.

But no matter how much money they spent or how much hate they threw at us, this incredible grassroots team persevered. That year, we won one of the closest races in the nation by just 5,374 votes — and our victory helped secure the Democratic House majority in Congress.

With the NRCC naming me a top target and five right-wing opponents vying for this seat, we can’t afford to be caught off guard this time around. We need to be ready to fight back against every right-wing dollar spent and every misleading, bad-faith attack launched against us. Not only to win this race, but to protect our Democratic majority so we can keep fighting for progress for our communities in Congress.

But my work this month has kept me from fundraising and my team tells me we aren’t on track to hit our goal, which is why I’m reaching out one last time before the clock strikes midnight.
