John,

During a house party thrown by one of our supporters last week, I learned about an LGBTQ couple who had to wait until their 80s to get married. Now, they’re contemplating divorce. Why? Because under our current healthcare system, long-term care can bankrupt entire families. So, to protect their assets, they divorce. Otherwise, they could lose everything.

This couple waited decades to get married. Now, the marriage they waited so long for might have to be undone—at least on paper—so they’re not impoverished by medical bills.

Is this how a so-called civilized society in a developed nation should operate?

Absolutely not. That’s why I’ll fight for Medicare For All, which would expand coverage to long-term care and cover everyone. You and your loved ones would be protected from the devastating costs of prolonged end-of-life care.

To make that happen, we need to unseat my opponent, who openly opposes Medicare For All and has, this cycle alone, taken $18,600 from the very health insurance PACs that pour money into elections to protect their outrageously huge profit margins. That’s why we don’t take any corporate PAC money—because we don’t intend to let private, corporate interests continue to dictate policy.

Can you chip in $25, $50, $75, or whatever you can today to make Medicare For All a reality? [[link removed]]

We can make this happen, but only if we work together. Are you with us?

In solidarity,

Eva
