In a moment, I'm going to ask you to chip in $3 toward our April fundraising deadline, but first, I want to bring you up to speed on a couple new challenges we're facing this election cycle.

As you know, midterm elections are typically tough for the party in power. This cycle, our district lines were redrawn making things a bit more challenging. Kevin McCarthy’s super PAC now has its sights squarely on our district, and CalMatters recently downgraded our chances of keeping CA-49 blue to a “TOSSUP.”

We’re making extraordinary progress for the people of this district – on San Onofre, business and economic relief, climate change and so much more. That’s why we’re leaving no stone unturned in our effort to educate new constituents about who I am and my record of delivering results.

That’s why this end-of-month goal is so critical, and why I have to ask:

All the "experts" want us to believe that Democrats are headed for a blowout in November. We're not going for it. And we're doing our part to keep the energy and enthusiasm high.
