Friend, my campaign is about to close the books on April with a $5,271 shortfall.

Let me begin with this: I'm so grateful for your continued support. You always step up when I need you most.

But please take this to heart: Now that Republican attacks against me are ramping up, hitting these fundraising goals matters more than ever. We are operating with the most tenuous possible control of the Senate – with absolutely zero margin for error – and Democratic control will vanish if we lose a single seat.

I don't want to have to scale back our campaign efforts right now – not when I'm up against radical, Trump-loyalist opponents who want to flip this seat. We need to be bolstering our efforts to protect this Democratic seat and expand Democratic control of the Senate. With everything from women's healthcare to voting rights to climate justice and the rule of law on the line, falling short is not an option.

Your donation right now could prevent us from facing a shortfall.

So please, as someone who cares deeply about the future of our country, I'm respectfully asking for you to make a donation of $5 or more – whatever you can spare – so we have the resources to protect this Senate seat and maintain Democratic control of the Senate.

For me, it's not just about hitting a fundraising goal. It's never just about a set of numbers on a page. It's about bolstering our campaign efforts so we can win this race and keep fighting for the values we share.

I'm grateful to have you by my side. Together, I know we can maintain Democratic control of the Senate and keep fighting for the things that matter most.

Thanks for all you do,

Dick
