Nunes Discovers Something in House Impeachment Rulebook that has Democrats Running Scared

Republican Rep. Devin Nunes of California has been one of the “all-stars” for the good guys during the Shifty Schiff Show, and he just scored another touchdown ([link removed]) that might be the final blow to the House Intelligence Committee’s farce.
On Thursday, Nunes drafted a letter which was signed by nine GOP representatives and sent to Mr. Bug Eyes.
Schiff’s eyes probably did bug out more than usual when he read the letter, BECAUSE IT SHOWED THE DEMOCRAT’S RULE CHANGE ([link removed]) BACK ON HALLOWEEN THAT PREVENTED REPUBLICAN WITNESSES IS “NOT DISPLACED” BY THEIR SINISTER SCHEME.
If you recall, Nunes attempted to call the whistleblower and Shifty Schiff to testify in the impeachment inquiry, and Mr. Bug Eyes refused.
Now, Schiff may not be able to stop it.
Nunes wrote in the letter:“Although Speaker Nancy Pelosi promised that Democrats would ‘treat the President with fairness,’ you have repeatedly prevented Republicans from fully and fairly examining issues central to the Democrat’s impeachment inquiry.”
“Therefore, pursuant to House Rule XI, Clause 2(j)(1), we, the undersigned Republican Members of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, exercise our right to convene a hearing with witnesses selected by the Minority to testify in the Democrat’s ‘impeachment inquiry.’”
Rep. McCarthy (R-CA) tweeted in support of Nunes discovery:

Kudos to Nunes for slogging through the mountain of text in the House rulebook to find this important clause that gives Republicans the ability to call their own witnesses as well.
Because the public has access to the official copy of the Rules ([link removed]) of the House of Representatives, the Democrats cannot deny this rule.
“Whenever a hearing is conducted by a committee on a measure or matter,” House Rule XI, Clause 2(j)(1) states, “the minority members of the committee shall be entitled, upon request to the chair by a majority of them before the completion of the hearing, to call witnesses selected by the minority to testify with respect to that measure or matter during at least one day of hearing thereon.”
If the GOP can technically call their own witnesses, this could be the final nail in the witch hunt coffin.
Imagine Nunes calling the whistleblower to testify...or Shifty Schiff! This entire circus would be exposed for what it is—a clown show.
As you can see, the Republicans are keeping the pressure on the impeachment process, and as the poll numbers show, the American people are getting increasingly tired of the whole charade.
Don’t be surprised if Pelosi and Schiff decide to wrap up this embarrassing inquiry quickly.
