Just taking a quick break from knocking on doors to send an update. I’m running for re-election because I want to put people first. I want to help our local community thrive. We have made progress, but there is still so much more work to do.

And here comes the ask: the April deadline is especially important because it is the last time we will report our fundraising numbers to the Washington Public Disclosure Commission before candidates have to officially file for office in May. Given the attention this race has already gotten, we’re expecting that those numbers will be closely watched to see where I stand in comparison to my opponent.

We are just $1,275 away from our fundraising goal and have until midnight tonight to get there. Responding to this email with a gift means I can spend less time in my office on the phone, calling to ask for donations, and more time out in my district knocking on doors and talking to voters.
